Pontiac Classic Car Show
Saturday, August 17, the official Woodward Dream Cruise day, will be full of family fun at the Pontiac Classic Car Festival. Pontiac restaurants and retailers will set up temporary shop at the Pontiac Downtown Expo, presented by St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, inside the family activity area in Pontiac City Square at the northeast corner of Saginaw and Pike.
The following fine businesses will offer tasty treats and curated items for sale: the Pontiac American Legion, El Chanchito, Water Dos, Q.D.’s Sweet Treats to the Rescue, Paparazzi Accessories, Knight Photography, Glow Works, Boulders’ Concessions. Food trucks and inflatables will also be in the City Square lot for family fun at reasonable prices. Admission to the festival is free.
Williams International will host a Cruise Reception on the corner of Woodward Avenue and North Saginaw Street from 10:00am - 5:00pm. All are invited to view Williams’ history of turbine-powered cars and personal flying machines along with the opportunity to win gifts and treats throughout the event. In addition, The Flagstar Strand Theatre is scheduled to open Charlene’s, its full-service cocktail lounge, as well as the theater for tours.
In downtown, the Pontiac Classic Car Festival will feature the Pontiac Power Week Classic Car Show, sponsored by Williams International, on both Pike and Saginaw Streets on Friday, August 16th and Saturday, August 17th as part of the 24th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise.
Pre-registration for the Pontiac Power Week Classic Car Show is now open. Registration is $25 for parking on either Pike Street or Saginaw Street. Day-of registration will be available from the Woodward Dream Cruise Merchandise Tent located between Pike Street and Phoenix Plaza.
The Classic Car Show presented by Williams International opens on Friday, August 16, at 11:00am and ends around Dusk (9:00pm-9:30pm) and on Saturday, August 17, the Show runs from 9:00am until Dusk.
Any car that participates in the Pontiac Power Week Classic Car Show will be entered to win a one-night stay at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort, including $50 in free play and dinner at a fabulous Soaring Eagle restaurant.
